We are a health care providing business. We promote healthy relationships between people and pets through education, communication, and providing veterinary medical care to our patients and clients. Veterinary care consists of preventative medical care, medical treatments; surgical, dental, diagnostic and boarding services: and providing professional quality products.
We strive to provide a pleasant, clean, safe and environmentally friendly facility for our staff, clients, and pets (patients).
Important goals and achievements are: minimizing waste of energy and material, conserving resources, recycling: using environment friendly paper, cleaners, and products: and minimizing waste output. Serving as a functioning example to staff and the public is an import step in promoting responsible environmental practices. In small (but not insignificant) ways we can achieve a greater level of conservation of resources and ecological ways of operation our business. This will also serve as an example of ecological practices that can be used in our personal lives and homes.
Ways that we have minimized energy use includes adding additional light switches, using more energy efficient light fixtures, and turning off unused lights. Additional ventilation systems have enabled us to reduce use of the air conditioning unit. This has resulted in an electric usage savings of approximately 25%. We also use non-chlorine bleached and recycled paper product. All recyclable materials are collected and recycled.
By providing high value services and products for our clients and patients and doing this is an sound way, I believe that the economic aspects of the business will succeed to a greater degree. High value service, ecology and economy are closely interrelated.
