Fleas can be a real problem for your pet and family. Fleas can make your pet very uncomfortable and are a major cause of skin allergies and bacterial infections. Flea induced skin allergies and infections often require medical treatment. Fleas can also infect your pet with tapeworms.
We carry a relatively new product that is very effective, safe, and easy to use for both dogs and cats. This product is called Advantage. You only need to apply it directly to the skin of your pet once a month and the fleas will die before they even get a chance to bite your pet (very important when dealing with flea bite allergies). It works within 24 hours and is demonstrated to be one of the safest chemicals to use on your pet. Unlike some other topical treatments, Advantage does not penetrate the skin or absorb into the body.
In addition we also carry a product called Program, which is given orally once a month. This is a non insecticidal treatment that is virtually non toxic to you and your pets. This is especially relevant to anyone having small children that handles your pet frequently. Program works by preventing fleas from reproducing thus preventing infestations in your home. Program is now available as an injection for cats that is given only twice a year!
