Rental Rates


Hourly Boat Rates

Rates are in dollars per tug per hour, or fraction thereof.

The rates in this item apply as follows (subject to Notes 1 and 2):

(a) As a basis of charges in connection with items making specific reference hereto.
(b) Towage of Barges, Pontoons or Log Rafts, for which rates are NOT otherwise provided in this book.
(c) Rates named in this item may be used as factors in constructing through rates.

Note 1: The hourly boat rates start as time and place of departure of boat to work and continue until boat returns to the approximate point of departure, or until boat leaves to engage in other work, subject to minimum charges provided in Note 2. Variable rates listed depend on difficulty of job. Daily boat rates apply also to bareboat charters.

Note 2: Rates for services performed at all times other than Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays are subject to a minimum charge of 2 hours at the applicable hourly rate for the tug used. Rates for services performed on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays are subject to a minimum charge of 3 hours at the applicable hourly rate for the tug used.

Containers or Trailers

Note 1: Rates are in dollars and cents per container or trailer.

Note 2: Minimum shipment is 36 containers or trailers. Shippers may aggregate to meet the barge load requirements.

Note 3: Except as noted, rates apply to both loaded and empty containers or trailers, one way.

Note 4: 40-foot containers are defined as containers or trailers exceeding 24 feet but not 40 feet in length; 20-foot containers are defined as containers or trailers not exceeding 24 feet in length.

Refridgerated Containers

Note: Loaded 40-foot containers shall not be accepted unless:

(a) the unit is chilled to shipper's specifications at the time of tender,
(b) plugs, wires and all connections are compatible with carrier's equipment,
(c) all refrigeration equipment is in good working order,
(d) the unit has an operating temperature logging device indicating the temperature has not risen above the shipper's specifications after the unit's initial chill-down.
